Airborne BMX is an arcade BMX stunt game featuring jumps, maneuvers, accuracy and controlled landings at high speeds. You are the rider and ride through small BMX courses which feature ramps, gaps and other technical challenges. The idea is to achieve the course goals with dazzling effects and creating high scoring combinations.
The game is a single-player browser game with 6 worlds and hundreds of challenges to overcome. There are 15 riders to choose from and 15 different BMX bikes and you have so many tricks to choose from that you'll have a lot of ways to approach each one.
Specific objectives are presented in each course to test your riding skills. First, hold down the Spacebar to get up to speed, then release it at the proper time to go off a ramp. The angle you take off from, the height you jump from, the momentum you have, and the time you have will dictate how long you will have to complete tricks.
In the air, perform flips, spins, and freestyle to make bigger combos. But the value of tricks depends on being able to catch them. Start getting ready for landing before the allotted airtime is up, or else you'll have to go back to the start and try again.
As you go through stages, you will receive medals and become increasingly challenged. There are 60 levels you have designed, along with over 200 challenge objectives, to keep you playing, wanting to replay previous levels, and getting better. The Platinum medals are awarded for a skilful performance.
