Deadly Descent is a physics-based driving and stunt-racing game in which survival, control, and destruction are all keys to victory. The games consist of players running along hazardous tracks on mountains, which are riddled with ramps, crushers, spike traps, narrow roads, and even the odd obstacle.
Deadly Descent is not about winning, but about surviving as best as you can, even if the car makes it to the finish line in a hunk.Racing is not the aim of the game, it's about surviving as best you can – even if the car arrives in a hunk at the finish line. The combination of honest car physics, arcade action and repeatable downhill courses promises every downhill run to be exciting and unpredictable.
Deadly Descent begins on the top of a steep downhill course at the start of each level. The goal is to get to the finish line without your car being wrecked.
Players must:
One of the game's most crucial mechanics is ‘Turbo boost.’ It enables players to jump over a long distance, avoid groups of obstacles and press on through tough passages. When used too early, however, using boost will lead to a crash or loss of control easily.
There are also destructible cars, which allow cars to lose parts, bend or even flip over, without being destroyed. Shorter levels with a high number of retries promote players to experiment and memorize where to place the obstacles for optimal runs.
